He was born on December 16, 1990, in Mafikeng. Nyovest attended high school at Sol Plaatje Secondary School and was quite athletic as he partook in various sports activities including football, cricket, and basketball. Still, rapping was the love that took him away from all of that.

The first titled Tsholofelo was released in 2014 and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA). The debut studio album was followed by Refiloe (2015), Thuto (2017), and Sweet and Short (2018); all of which were certified Platinum by RISA.

Nicknamed Mr Fill Up, the rapper is known for selling out tickets for his concerts. It began with his 2015 Fill Up The Dome which was held at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg. The rapper founded Family Tree Records in 2014 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the South African independent record label. Apart from Cassper, the label has prominent entertainers such as Nadia Nakai signed to it.

For the fact that Family Tree Records has been in business since 2014 and has prominent artists signed to it, there are no reasons to doubt it has been a successful endeavour that has added to the rapper’s wealth. From his activities in the music industry and his endorsement deals, it is believed that Cassper’s net worth stands at $3 Million.

The Beef with AKA

Some said AKA was jealous of how fast Cassper was rising, which he vehemently denied. However, the feud kept going with the two artists throwing jabs at each other any chance they got. They went so far as to record diss tracks about each other.

The feud reached a peak when it was said that AKA walked up to Cassper at a club and slapped him and it led to a scuffle. AKA flat out denied this but later took to his Twitter to admit to it. Of course, he quickly deleted the tweet.

After much ado about nothing, the feud finally came to an end when AKA tweeted Cassper to wish him well before his successful Orlando Stadium concert. Like that was not enough, we saw pictures of the two arch-enemies exchanging a hug after the show.  While we were still sceptical about the peace treaty, AKA tweeted a pic of the two at a poolside just before Christmas, and then we were sure the feud was over.

Also a South African entertainer, Benny is a Xitsonga singer. His journey to stardom began with the release of his debut studio album titled Tiba Ben in 2011. Cassper and Benny were at each other’s throats when the latter scheduled his 2018 concert and tagged it #FillUpGiyaniStadium. 

Cassper wasn’t happy with this as he believed Benny was using his trademark without being authorized to do so. Reports have it that he sent the Xitsonga singer a cease and desist letter. But at the end of the day, the rapper couldn’t take any legal actions against Benny as he didn’t own the #FillUp trademark.

He took to Twitter to express his frustration about this, encouraging people to get paper works that will help them protect their ideas.
