Richard was a business-minded person since his young days and his first company, ITAL Computers formed in 1985 sold computer aided designs and manufacture systems.
He sold the company in 1991 in a private transaction and co-founded Visual Software Inc. which was sold to Micrografx for $12 million in shares in 1996.
