Farrah Abraham is an American reality television personality, singer, adult entertainer, writer, and model who has a net worth of $3 – $5 million

As far as we can tell, she became a public figure in 2009 when she featured as one of the 16 and Pregnant cast members, a reality television series that aired on MTV. As the title suggests, the series chronicled the journey to motherhood of several young women, and Farrah was one of those who gave life to the show. Because of this, it wasn’t a surprise she was made a part of a spin-off series titled Teen Mom which also aired on MTV.

As someone who would always optimize all the opportunity she gets, Farrah capitalized on the fame she had garnered from appearing on the MTV series by releasing a studio album and a memoir that was a New York Times bestseller. Ultimately, her salaries from the shows and what she earned from the album and memoir laid the foundation for Farrah to grow her wealth.

Farrah Abraham Is Worth at Least $3 Million.

Farrah Abraham’s wealth started to rise after she landed several roles in different MTV shows. She also made money as a singer and writer with the release of her debut album and book in 2012; both titled My Teenage Dream Ended. Thanks to all of that and her adult films, she has become a multi-millionaire.

She appeared in only two episodes of the first season before moving on and joining Teen Mom as one of its main cast. In the years that followed, she was seen in other reality TV shows. Albeit unconfirmed, reports have it that she was paid as much as $30,000 per episode of her MTV show.

Chronicling Farrah Abraham’s Journey To Stardom

Farrah Abraham was born on May 31, 1991, in Omaha, Nebraska, and then raised in Council Bluffs in the U.S state of Iowa by her Syrian father and Danish mother.

As a high school student, Farrah was a part of her school’s cheerleading team. It was during this time that she became pregnant at the age of 16 for her boyfriend, Derek Underwood. News of her pregnancy spread widely across her community and helped her land an appearance in the second episode of 16 and Pregnant, a television show broadcast by MTV.

During filming, Farrah opted to have an abortion, but her parents refused. Her mother especially insisted she must keep the baby, and as a result, she had to quit cheerleading and start work at a community college. Derek later died in a car accident before Farrah gave birth to a baby girl on February 29, 2009.

Soon after her child’s birth, Farrah Abraham was cast in the spin-off series, Teen Mom. She further started attending the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida to pursue a degree in culinary arts and management.

Other Shows and the Sex Tape That Brought Her Fame

While pursuing her degree, Farrah Abraham appeared in other shows that helped her remain relevant, one of which was Couples Therapy. She joined the VH1’s reality show in January 2014 for the fourth season and was really happy to be a part of it. However, before the program began, Brian Dawe, who was supposed to be her partner, claimed that she had hired him to act the part of her boyfriend on screen for the purpose of the program. Farrah ended up appearing alone on the program, trying to work on her relationship with her mother. This made her the only person in the program’s history to go through therapy without a partner.

Farrah also released a few sex tapes that were very instrumental in sustaining people’s interest in her. The first one, titled Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom was released in 2013. The second one titled Farrah 2: Backdoor and More came in the following year. The reality TV personality later made her film acting debut in 2017, playing the role of Karen Sims in Adam K. Also in 2017, she portrayed Fannie Rae Baker in Axeman 2: Overkill, a slasher film written and directed by Joston Theney.

If anything, the sex tapes with James Deen were controversial enough to land her a spot on Celebrity Big Brother in 2015 where she represented the United States. She held her spot strong but was evicted when Austin Armacost chose her for eviction. In all, she spent 23 days in the big brother house. That same year, she appeared as a panellist on the Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side after-show where she engaged in a pretty heated exchange with fellow panellist Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and subsequently, Janice Dickinson.

Other shows that Farrah Abraham has been a part of include Ex on the Beach (2018-2019), Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, and MTV’s Single AF, both in 2017. All of these appearances consolidated her status as a celebrity, but some have insisted that her daughter is the only reason she is famous.

What Has She Been Up To Lately?

The last time Farrah Abraham was seen on TV was when she was featured in season two of Ex on the Beach in 2019. She has since then been largely focused on maximizing the opportunities offered by the internet to promote her brand. Because of this, much of her hasn’t been seen in the traditional media. She has instead been relentlessly active on Instagram and TikTok among other social media platforms.

In the content she puts out, Farrah is almost always seen with her daughter. For this, people have accused her of exploiting her child’s innocence just to stay relevant, but Farrah isn’t someone to care much about such accusations. On the other hand, her daughter is seemingly happy with the way things are and that’s all that matters.
