Tyler Sash Net Worth

Tyler Sash left behind a net worth of $5 million for his family. It’s known that a major bulk of his wealth came from his football career. After he left the Giants, Sash lived off what he had gathered from the career. According to his mum, he had multiple offers for better-paying and high-profile jobs. But, he couldn’t handle any of them as it was almost impossible for him to stay focused.

Oftentimes, it has been insinuated or assumed that Tyler Sash net worth enlarged after his death. This is not true. The suggestion is gleaned from the belief that Sash’s family is deserving of a compensation from the National Football League.

Before Sash’s death, NFL accepted court settlement with former players. The settlement was to compensate the players for severe neurological conditions.

However, Sash’s family didn’t get any compensation; they were not qualified to receive any payment. This is so because only families of players who died and were found to have suffered C.T.E. before the settlement was approved in April 2015 are eligible to get compensation.

Not long past, Tyler Sash’s girlfriend, Jessica VerSteeg stirred a controversy after she started a company that sells marijuana. According to the former Miss Iowa, she’s using Tyler’s name for the medical marijuana business in California because she wants to help others who are going through severe pain like Tyler did.

She said the footballer asked her to let him smoke marijuana and manage his pains. She refused him because she believed it was a bad thing.

However, Tyler’s family has asked Jessica to quit using his name in her business as they don’t want his legacy knotted to marijuana. It has been severally insinuated that Jessica is taking advantage of the dead. Many believe this because she and Tyler broke up before he died. Until his death, he was in a relationship with Heather Nicole Dickinson.

Tyler Sash’s family was passionate about football until the unfortunate series of incidents which led to Tyler’s death were all linked to him choosing football as his career. While his brother, Josh played in high school and even considered playing in college, Tyler’s father, Michael played in college.

Cause of Death and Autopsy

Two years earlier before his death, Sash was cut by the Giants after he suffered a concussion said to be his fifth. On account of that, he returned to Iowa where his family members observed that he was not alright. Apart from the fact that he increasingly exhibited surprising behaviour, he went through bouts of confusion and memory loss.

Tyler’s mum, Barnetta Sash believes her son’s unusual behaviours were triggered by some strong prescription drugs he took for a football-related shoulder injury that needed surgery. She donated his brain for chronic traumatic encephalopathy (C.T.E) test when he died.

After a while, Tyler Sash’s family was informed that C.T.E was diagnosed in his brain. It was found that the disease which can only be confirmed posthumously advanced to such degree that’s uncommon for someone his age.
