Another contract extension came, and this time, Brooks Laich was signed by the Washington Capitals for a six-year contract on June 28, 2011. The deal was worth the tune of $27 million and was due to expire by the end of the 2016-17 season. Within the period, he suffered both a groin injury, as well as a minor shoulder injury, which affected his performances during the 2012-2013 and 2014-15 seasons. By the 2015-2016 season, his offensive performance declined drastically, with only one goal scored with six assists.

Brooks Laich’s house is an exquisite lake house located in Northern Idaho. The former NHL player purchased the home as far back as 2014 and still lives there to date. He often shares pictures of his home on social media, and from his posts, one can tell that he loves his abode very much.
